Joseph Bulova founded this New York based company in 1875. Bulova's greatest historical achievement is perhaps the Accutron watch - launched in 1960 - a wristwatch that regulates time based on resonating tuning forks. Although Omega watches were famously worn on the moon and accompanied every NASA astronaut, it was the electronic Bulova Accutron that was installed in the instrument panels for on-board timekeeping functions.
