The Edox Watch company has been producing precision timepieces since 1884. Edox means 'the hour' in ancient Greek. The brand's logo is a stylized version of the hour glass and has adorned the watch ever since the watch brand's inception more than 125 years ago. Since 1921 Edox has focused almost exclusively on wristwatches. The Edox brand has also been responsible for several watchmaking innovations including being the first to offer a 200 meter water resistant watch (1961), then 500 meters (1965). The storied brand has also been official timekeeper of the Olympic Games (1968). More recently the Edox watch company has been associated with the frenetic sport of Rally racing. Edox is an official sponsor and timekeeper of the World Rally Championship. Edox's partnership with the WRC has spurred the creation of the Edox WRC Collection, which is an exciting and beautifully crafted selection of sporty watches.
